Alumni & Community
President’s Welcome
The relationship pupils build with Kelvinside Academy is a lifelong friendship. The Academical Club promotes friendship and establishes connections between past and present generations of former pupils, as well as enhancing the relationship that our Academicals have with their former school.
Senior 4, 5 and 6 pupils automatically become members of the Kelvinside Academical Club when they leave school. For those who remain until S6, the Leavers Ball takes place after Prize Giving in the Summer Term where they are presented with their Academical Club gifts and officially begin the next phase of their Kelvinside journey.
Academicals benefit from a range of regular gatherings, newsletters, and a global network of former pupils along with the continued support of the Development Office which organises class reunions as an independent event for a particular year group, or as a joint event at the Kelvinside Academical Club Annual Dinner.
If you would like to find out more about the Academical Club or details about events taking place throughout the year, please contact Development Manager, Elaine Solman at elaine.solman@kelvinside.org.

Saturday Sport
We have a full calendar of fantastic events throughout the year and we would also be delighted to see you and your family at Balgray on a Saturday morning to support our pupils when they are playing Cricket, Hockey or Rugby. This is a great social occasion with our wonderful PTA supplying breakfast rolls and hot drinks in the Miller Drummond Suite.
Reunions
We are also delighted to help you reconnect with old school friends either directly or by attending regular events throughout the year. The Annual Academical Dinner is also a fantastic opportunity to connect with former pupils from around the globe. These events are a wonderful opportunity to catch up with old friends, share memories, tour the School and reminisce about glory days on the “Field of Dreams” or on the Hockey pitch.
Junior Committee Events
The Junior Committee will be planning two annual events, one to be held at GHK and one to be held at Balgray. We will be in touch as soon as these dates have been agreed.
