Graham was a fine athlete, who ran the 100m for Scotland, rugby player and occasional cricketer who will be rem

embered fondly by many Academicals. Our thoughts and those of the school are with his family at this time.

Graham spent most of his working life as an Ink Technologist for JP Coats.  This took him to many countries including Carolina and Norway.  He took early retirement and was then able to spend time helping residents of his beloved village, Farmborough.  The lovely comments below are from many villagers who feel it was an honour to have known him.

“We have got to know Graham well over the past few years and the village has not been the same since his illness and his loss is deeply felt.  We are all so used to Graham and his little cart, keeping the village spick and span with a wave, a greeting and often an observation which made you laugh out loud.”

“Graham was invaluable to the Memorial Hall Committee, Farmborough Community Speedwatch and Farmborough Parish Council.  He was everybody’s friend and confidante, he was incredibly thoughtful and his memory is woven into the fabric of our community”
