Craigholme School - Nursery Manager

Craigholme School is a leading, part co-educational independent school for children from 3 to 18 years situated in the Southside of Glasgow. The Nursery is situated close to the Junior and Senior Schools and caters for a maximum of 60 children age 3-5 years. The Nursery is open for 50 weeks of the year.

 

Craigholme School is looking for a suitably qualified and highly motivated Nursery Manager to lead an experienced and well established nursery team in providing an integrated approach to children’s development and learning in the early years.

 

The Nursery Manager will work under the direction of the Head of Junior School to effectively manage the Early Years provision.

 

The person appointed will:

 

  • Carry out the day to day management and organisation of the Nursery

  • Monitor the quality of education and care of children aged 3-5 years and maintain

  • high standards

  • Identify priorities for improvement and implement these accordingly

  • Work collegiately with colleagues to improve outcomes for young people

  • Communicate effectively with parents

  • Provide appropriate staff training and develop staff skills

  • Liaise closely with the Junior School to ensure effective transitions

  • Assist in marketing the Nursery

 

The person appointed should have an appropriate degree qualification and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of management within an Early Years establishment.

 

Salary will be according to qualifications and experience. Applicants should be registered, or eligible for registration as a Manager with the SSSC. They should also be a PVG Scheme member.

Job Application

After School Club - Adhoc Staff

 Kelvinside Academy is looking for suitably qualified or experienced staff to join the regular team of the After School Club on a temporary basis at times of staff absence or when the number of children calls for additional personnel. The need for extra staffing is unpredictable and can be for a day at a time or for longer. This position would suit someone who works part-time or a student with some experience of working with children. The Club is open for three hours a day during term times between 3.00 and 6.00pm.
