Debate Winners

The unseen motion was 'This house believes that The State should compensate victims of crimes by repeat offenders'. Mahee M and Honor J had only one hour to prepare their opposition to this motion in the semi-final of the Donald Dewar Memorial Debating Tournament organised by the Law Society of Scotland. 

All four teams contributed to two separate debates but the judges commended the KA team for their impressive structure and content and announced them as winners of this semi-final.

Mahee and Honor will now compete against three other Scottish schools in the final to be held in the Scottish Parliament Debating Chamber at Holyrood.  It should be a memorable experience and we look forward to supporting them at the event in June.
