Debating Success

Congratulations to S6 pupils Mahee Mustafa and Honor Johnstone who won their 2nd round heat in the 2016/17 Donald Dewar Memorial Scottish Debating Tournament. The motion was 'this house would permit the use of performance enhancing drugs in professional sports' and Mahee and Honor were debating in favour of the motion.
128 teams from 85 schools across Scotland entered the Law Society of Scotland competition and Kelvinside Academy are now in the last 8 teams. The March semi-final will follow a different format where Mahee and Honor won't know what motion they will be asked to debate until that evening.
