Fundraising Junior

Junior School welcomed some very special doggy visitors to Assembly this morning. Following joint fundraising efforts of Junior and Senior School, pupils presented a cheque to Guide Dogs Scotland for the amazing amount of £5,220.

Pupils and teachers were delighted to welcome Paul and Nimmi with guide dog ‘Lester’ and puppy in training ‘Scout’ – never did two dogs receive so many hugs and pats from so many children at one time!

Kyla Strachan from Guide Dogs Scotland expressed the charity’s delight in the School’s efforts and has given us the wonderful honour of naming two new guide dog puppies. J6 teacher Mrs McAllister shared the pupil’s excitement and promised to launch a naming competition to all pupils.

The Junior School plan to continue their fundraising with three new initiatives: pupcakes, puppy treasure hunt and the blind fold challenge.
