Exam Results 2016

Once again, we are delighted to congratulate our 2016 candidates on excellent exam results this summer.

For the 44 pupils sitting 5 Highers in S5, there was a 95% pass rate and 58% of these results were at A grade. Nine pupils achieved the clean sweep of at least five A grades and ten more achieved four A grades. The overall pass rate at Higher in S5 was 93% with over half of the results (52%) at A grade. 

In S4 there was a 94% pass rate (A to C) in National 5 subjects. 4 candidates achieved the clean sweep of 8 A grades. 

The pass rate (A to C) at Advanced Higher was 90% with 60% of the results at A or B grade. The overall S6 pass rate (Advanced Higher and Higher) was a commendable 81%.  

The destinations of our school leavers include Cambridge University, Imperial College London, University of Toronto, Monmouth University USA, the ancient Scottish Universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as Strathclyde and Heriot Watt. The courses on which they have gained places include highly competitive subjects such as Medicine, Law, International Business, Pharmacology, Engineering, Nursing and Accountancy.
