Academical Weekend March

The weekend started on Friday night with many Academicals and friends of Kelvinside Academy coming together for the Annual Dinner in the Games Hall.  President, David Rowand (1985) thanked Alistair Tear (1974) and his wife, Pamela, for their considerable work and effort during Alistair’s reign as Secretary.  We are delighted that Alistair is now an Honorary Academical and Pamela an Associate Academical.  We were also honoured to have Colin Mair (1972) as our guest Speaker.

Due to the weather, games on the top pitch had to be altered to a game of touch on the all weather surface.  It was great to see members of our 1st XV playing alongside their fathers and Academicals.  The weekend was rounded off with a fabulous lunch in the Miller Drummond Suite of the Sports Pavilion and an afternoon of International Rugby on the big screen.
