Homestay

The KA Homestay network extends the opportunity of a Kelvinside education to international pupils aged 16-18 years. Our Homestay families welcome international pupils into their home and their family during term time, providing a safe and welcoming ‘home from home’ environment to support your child during their time at Kelvinside. We offer guardianship through our Homestay partner ‘Academic Families’, who support international pupils to ensure their Scottish school days are happy and successful. We match pupils with a host family connected to the School, allowing for a strong and positive relationship to develop between Homestay families and international pupils. The experience of studying abroad and staying with a Scottish family allows pupils to become fluent in English, opens their minds to another culture, make life-long friendships and learn more about themselves and the world around them. It provides international pupils with an outstanding preparation for university in the UK or beyond.
